In Copenhagen, the Radical Left Just Beat the Danish Social Democrats for the First Time Ever

The dominant story of the Western left in the last two years has been decline from the high watermark of post-crash electoral radicalism. From Syriza to Podemos, parties have fallen short of either winning power or delivering in office — or, in the recent case of Germany’s Die Linke, slid backward from already weak positions. Left organizations are dealing simultaneously with the rapid escalation of structural crises from public health to the environment to geopolitics, huge changes in their operating environment, and the limits of their current support base.

Stop Rubber-Stamping Exorbitant Defense Spending

As inflation reached a three-decade high this month, conservatives in Congress capitalized on the moment by pinning the surge in prices entirely on government spending. The Republican National Committee advised Americans, “Be prepared to pay more this holiday season because of Bidenflation.”
This narrative is far from universally accepted, but it has put Democrats on the defensive as one of Joe Biden’s staple pieces of legislation — the $1.75 trillion reconciliation bill, or Build Back Better Act — awaits consideration in the Senate.

Mike Pence Still Has Presidential Ambitions

Mike Pence spent much of his vice presidency quietly catering to the whims of President Donald Trump. But on January 6, he broke with Trump by refusing to overturn the 2020 election results. And now, Pence is eyeing a presidential run of his own, even though his old boss hasn’t ruled out a 2024 campaign. Pence wouldn’t necessarily stay out of the race even if Trump jumps in.

As Allbirds and preppy quarter-zips swept into boardrooms and C-suites across the rest of the country, Capitol Hill remained one of the last bastions of traditional American business attire—the global headquarters of wing tips and ill-fitting suits, Tory Burch flats and bland Banana Republic pencil skirts. During sweltering D.C.

They can’t leave us alone. They can’t just keep their damn mouths shut. They can’t. Why? Well, money, power, and endless media hits on MSNBC and CNN are certainly a draw. I don’t know why on the latter part because no one watches either network. At the same time, it does tap into the vein of liberal America who is most susceptible to panic porn. So, as you know, we have a new COVID variant to kick off the holiday season, but the experts were more worried about one thing—and it had nothing to do with the virus’ impact on humans.

No, seriously.
