Reagan’s Warning About The Fragility of Freedom Has Always Been Relevant — But Never More Urgent

It seems more than apropos to assess the legacy and words of President Ronald Reagan at this juncture in our history; it is an absolute necessity. Reagan not only understood the political reality of the world in front of him, he had a prescience of the political world that might be coming if Americans did not demonstrate the same resolve that won the revolution.
The insouciance of the Biden administration is unrelenting as it watches inflation rise, spends trillions on phony infrastructure bills and blithely observes the southern border evaporate.

Thanks to This ‘Biden Whisperer,’ the World Knows America’s Back

A new Gallup poll shows a yuge turnaround in how the world sees the United States. Under Donald Trump, our approval rating hit a record low. Under President Biden, it has rebounded to very nearly the highest level ever recorded, almost equal to that achieved during the presidency of Barack Obama.
What does the world see in America under Biden’s leadership that so many in the U.S. media have not? The answer is diplomacy. Often quietly, often in ways that do not drive ratings or generate clicks, the U.S.

Will More Eco-Authoritarianism Come From COP26?

Our international political class is set to descend on Glasgow this November for the United Nations climate change summit, COP26. A swarm seems to be an apt comparison given that 1,500 waste disposal staff are set to strike for the duration of the event, leaving the unnecessary trash produced by environmental devotees flowing out of bags and bins for all to see. And, like flies, the bad ideas proposed to revolutionize everyone’s lives for the worst are bound to be in abundance.

Biden’s Unlawful Plan to Federalize Elections

The White House recently issued a statement regarding new actions dozens of federal agencies are taking related to voter registration. These actions come in response to an order President Joe Biden issued back in March.
The order commanded the heads of every federal agency to submit a plan outlining their strategy to engage in voter registration and mobilization efforts to the director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, Susan Rice. This is an unlawful effort by the Biden administration to federalize elections and keep the president and his political party in power.

In Case of an Emergency

I travel a lot by train. And I hate it. Because I don’t appreciate being forced to stick to the tracks. I prefer to make my own way in life. Which might explain why I’m not a train driver. It’s quite beyond me why the train driver’s guild is so dismissive with the need some of us have for freedom. And the passengers’ guild is even worse.
Since they won’t let me drive the train, I entertain myself reading the fluorescent panels with indications of what to do in case of an emergency. I don’t expect you have ever stopped to read them.

Joe Manchin slammed in hometown paper: He ‘wins’ — we ‘lose’

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) // CBS News

Senator Joe Manchin’s intransigence in negotiations with members of his own party over a massive bill to develop America’s infrastructure was blasted in an op-ed in his hometown newspaper — just days after the same paper ran an op-ed from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who also took him to task.
On Sunday, Sanders wrote, “The Build Back Better plan is not only vitally important for seniors, but it is enormously important for working families and their children.

CNN tips scales for Biden at town hall

There’s a reason President Joe Biden agreed to do a town hall this week with CNN — the increasingly partisan left-wing cable network is friendly territory for him. He knows the questions will be easy. There won’t be any groundbreaking journalism.
On Thursday, CNN behaved not only as Biden White House likely expected it would, but it also went a step further, tilting the scales fully in the president’s favor by taking seven questions from Democrats in the invitation-only audience and only two questions from Republican attendees.
