Liberals’ Defense-Spending Misdirection

NRPLUS MEMBER ARTICLE L iberals have tested many different talking points to make it seem as if their reckless ambitions to pass $6 trillion in new spending over the course of President Biden’s first year in office are actually quite reasonable. They’ve claimed, with debt as a share of the economy set to eclipse the World War II record, that deficits don’t really matter, and they’ve asserted that a $3.5 trillion spending bill actually costs zero dollars. Now, they are dusting off a golden oldie by trying to argue that their agenda pales in comparison to what we spend on defense.

The media missed how a new military alliance threatens to take the world to the brink

Before it’s too late, we need to ask ourselves a crucial question: Do we really — I mean truly — want a new Cold War with China?
Because that’s just where the Biden administration is clearly taking us. If you need proof, check out last month’s announcement of an “AUKUS” (Australia, United Kingdom, U.S.) military alliance in Asia. Believe me, it’s far scarier (and more racist) than the nuclear-powered submarine deal and the French diplomatic kerfuffle that dominated the media coverage of it.

Rep. Nancy Mace: Let’s talk about US government debt – and how to fix this mess

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
As a single mom, when my kids come home from school and tell me, “Oops, we overspent our allowance again,” I do not reward them by signing them up for a credit card with no spending limit. This is exactly what recently happened in Washington last week.
The “adults” in the room have once again overspent their allowance – an allowance given to them by American taxpayers – at historically high levels no less.

The Great American Ammunition Conspiracy

Ammunition comes to the local sporting goods store in Waco, Texas, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If you find yourself driving by at quarter to nine on one of those days, you will see a line of people snaking along the side of the building, waiting for the opening and their chance to buy rounds. Any other day of the week, the shelves are empty.
It has been this way for months. Gun magazines and websites discuss the “Great Ammo Shortage,” which started during the pandemic, but which is projected to last into 2022.

There’s Nothing Honorable or Decent About Colin Powell’s Long List of War Crimes

Colin Powell, soldier, statesman, and lifelong public servant to the imperatives of empire, died yesterday, at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife, three children, and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his eponymous doctrine and at least 185,000 Iraqi civilians.
Born in 1937, Powell preceded by a decade the institution that would define both his life and much of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
